With my k-2 painters, we had a mini-lesson on holding the paint brush, how to make colors on the page rather than in the paint wells, and practiced making small lines. The children were given only red, blue and yellow. I think these turned out eye-catching and worth sharing even though it was just skill practice. It was exciting to see the children discover new colors and really concentrate on their water color skills!
