Re-cycle and Re-Use Cardboard rolls to Create Owls!

Inspired by a Pinterest pin, from fresh and fun blog.. my kindergarteners created these personality filled owls for Fall focusing on tint and texture and working on fine motor with cutting hand painting! First we used cardboard rolls and pushed down one end and taped it.  Each child chose a color and painted it and then added white for TINT!

Kindergarten cut out paper and glued them onto the painted tubes for texture.  They cut out circles for facial disks, triangles for beaks, and picked out feathers for wings and tufts.

They are so colorful and the children's imaginations and personality shine through.

We glued googly eyes onto the circle facial disks. They turned out great. I can't wait to put them on display!

I made some colorful trees with construction paper and pipe cleaners for the display, but the highlight is the kindergarten owls....
