Nice to meet you... my name is Dawn Lynn and it has been my childhood dream to become an Art Teacher. My dream was fulfilled in 2012 after wearing many educational hats as a classroom teacher, Language Arts educator and Instructional Technology Specialist. I graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia (MIZ-ZOU!) with a Bachelor of Science in Education and have certification in Art K-12 and Language Arts. My Masters degree in Communication Arts is from Webster University with an emphasis in Instructional Technology. With seven years in the Willow Brook Art Studio we are 5 years deep in TAB or Teaching for Artistic Behavior pedagogy. Our art studio focuses on personalized learning where students choose content and medium in their original artworks. Our studio centers are Drawing, Painting, Collage, Sculpture, Fiber Arts, Sewing, Ceramics, Stop-Motion, Architecture and STEAM. The children are inspiring me everyday with their problem solving, perseverance and creativity! Each day is new and exciting. I LOVE what I do!
